There is usually parking on Main Street in front of or near the Armory. There are also several parking lots with different parking time limits throughout the town. See the Parking Page - Town of Bel Air's website. Also click on the Public Parking Guide, link on that page to download their Guide.

Gallery Shows
Instructions for exhibiting in our Gallery bimonthly shows are sent to all members by email or postal mail. Follow instructions carefully. Entry forms for our shows are also available in the yellow and red box on this page.

"Bio Book"

Artists - please update your biography in the bio book so that art buyers can get a sense of who you are and your background. Contact Nancy Lloyd our Gallery Coordinator for information needed.

Harford Artists Gallery Video

How times have changed! Here's a Google video of our Gallery taken just a few years ago. Since then we upgraded the cottage gallery and now we've moved to Main Street into a much large space, but we still have wonderful artwork and 3-D art available for sale in a welcoming area. Gallery Coordinator

As our association continues to grow, we have established a position of "Gallery Coordinator". Among the duties assigned to this position will be preparing and distributing the prospectus for each gallery exhibit, preparing sign-in/sign-out sheets, distributing Gallery mail, assisting the Gallery Calendar Coordinator, and applying for wine licenses. The Gallery Coordinator will also assume responsibility for the HAA Abandoned Work Policy as well as keeping an eye on general Gallery operations and needs. Nancy Lloyd is our Gallery Coordinator.

Gallery Sitting Calendar Coordinator

Jackie Swartz uses website - SignUpGenius.com - to simplify signup for sitting at our shows. The signup request is sent three or four weeks before the changeover. See the attached form - SignUpGuide-SignUpGenius.pdf to help you with filling out the online form. Online signup at SignUpGenius.com is preferred.

If you haven't signed up when you deliver your artwork for our Gallery shows, bring your calendar/schedule with you so you can sign up then. Since it is late in the signup period, you will not be getting first choice of sitting dates.

If you cannot access SignUpGenius.com, then you may send your sitting dates to Jackie by email or call Jackie and she will enter them for you.

Gallery Sitting Requirements

With the new, larger gallery, we have updated our sitting requirements. Members will find a copy of these requirements in the above box, entitled "Guidelines for Gallery Sitters at New Gallery."

Important - New Rules for Working on your Art Project when Sitting

Please do NOT work behind the point-of-sale area. Reserve this space for wrapping purchases and gallery business. You may put a small folding leg table or an easel from the Multi-Purpose Room in front of the windows. Please cover the floor area around you with a drop cloth. Keep the cloth within the confines of your work area so it is not a hazard to our guests. Working in this area will give our visitors an opportunity to watch an artist at work and give you more freedom of movement.

Nude Art

We now have a policy regarding display of nude art in our Gallery. Our other HAA-sponsored art exhibits, such as our Rotating Exhibits, will not display nude art.

An Added Perk for our Gallery Attendants

When our artists are sitting at the Gallery for a show they may bring in a few pieces of their personal work to display. When you do this, please do not remove exsting work from the walls or its present location and replace it with your own. You may set up an easel to display artwork (the porch is good for this in the summer months since everyone sees your work as they enter the Gallery) or use existing table space. All work that you bring with you and is not a part of the present exhibit must leave with you at the end of your stay.
