This should be a great exhibit place as the Harford County Council has their offices and meetings there. The building get lots of traffic and our artwork is under video surveillance and armed guard 24/7.

Yearly Exhibits

Art at the Library - April 26 through May 1, 2008

"Art at the Library" is a juried art show and showcases Harford Artists Association's members' recent artwork, including paintings and drawings in any media, photography, and 3-dimensional artwork. Artwork is for sale.

      Deliver accepted entries --- Sunday, Sep 21 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
      Opening Reception with Awards --- Saturday, Sep 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.;
      Viewing days --- Thursdays through Sundays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.;
      Last day of Exhibit --- Saturday, Oct 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.;
      Pick up your pictures --- Sunday, Oct 26 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The judge for the Exhibition will be pastel artist, David Lawton.

David Lawton has been painting for over 30 years. He began his love for art at a very young age. By the age of sixteen he was invited to Scotland to study with George Devlin, a well-known Scottish artist.

He also studied portraiture for several years under the tutelage of nationally known portrait painters, Cedric and Joanette Egeli. David continued his art training at the Art Student’s League in New York City. David believes it is important to continually study, currently studying with Albert Handell.

David’s pastels were featured in the June 2004 Pastel Journal, August 2003, The Artist’s Magazine as well as the May 1998, American Artist Magazine. He is a past President of the Maryland Pastel Society, Signature Member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, associate member of PSA (Pastel Society of America), and, in addition, a member of the APOW (Associated Pastelists on the Web). He continues to exhibit his work in National Competitions.
